Microwave Soups is a cross-medium practice, branching from creative direction to building temporary worlds as a scenographer. Our starting point was architecture and interior design, and from there we drifted into art direction, then eventually the creative realm, not by abandoning any one discipline, but by staying interested in how a single idea can take many forms. We're built the way a soup is built: many ingredients, one pot, one heat source, one result that comes out the other end. The same idea might surface as a set design or a campaign, take shape as a piece of furniture or a film, or grow into an installation, a book, a brand, an artwork, or a world. We work across scale, from the tactile detail to the total environment, shaping not only the structure of a space but the spirit that inhabits it: the texture, the material, the intensity of the momentary.
